L’Odyssee is a 23.91m ketch sail yacht with a displacement hull built by Chantier Navals de Normandie and launched in 1935. She was last refitted in 2017.

L’Odyssee is strongly built from wood with lots af charm and character.

Once you have stepped aboard you have the choose to sit in the cockpit.

and enjoy your cool drink  or you can comfortably sit around a beautiful teak table underneath the spacious sun awning, which can easily be set up for eight.

Around you the flushness of the teak deck invites you and many others to breathe and enjoy the space it offers.

Via the doghouse a curved mahogany staircase leads you to a Honduras mahogany passageway with entrances to 3 double cabins [A, B & C], which can accommodate six guests comfortably.

The main guest [A] cabin is in Bird’s eye Maple and Rosewood and has an overhead hatch giving the room plenty of natural light.

The portside cabin [B] is in sycamore and poplar and the starboard cabin [C] is in sycamore and Norwegian silver birch.

Each cabin has a double bed and a ‘en suite’ bathroom with toilet, shower and a washbasin.

She has sailed extensively around the British and French Coast, the Mediterranean and the Caribbean, with at least 10 Atlantic crossings to her credit. With an upwind sail area of 260 m2, and 450 m2 down wind she is a fast and comfortable yacht to cruise. She has competed in many of the Mediterranean Regattas with some overall winnings.

In 1999, L’Odyssee was refitted to British MCA Commercial Status.

It is recommended to think about where the Yacht will be registered (Country) and if the yacht will commercially operated or privately. In the current Market (Corona) there are not a lot of Classic Sailing Yachts for Charter and the ones active had a good last year. The yacht Hygie has been successfully operating and had a normal charter season in 2020.

L’Odyssee was chartering at an average of 3000, – Euo’s per day and could make a turnover of 250.000, -Euro’s in a year. The costs for setting up a Company Structure and have her Commercial is worth taking into account for the new owner.

Her oak hull, her teak deck, her teak superstructure, the interior and her wooden masts have been completely refitted in 2006. At the moment the mast need to be taken down to and completely stripped to bare wood, with some minor repairs and revarnished. 

L’Odyssée is no longer equipped with a compressor.

Interior Layout

DOGHOUSE The doghouse made from teak contains a watch bunk and storage space and leads to a mahogany curved steps leading to the Honduras mahogany passageway in which the navigation area is found. This passageway leads to three double cabins (A, B & C)

MASTER STATEROOM  Owners cabin (A) is in bird’s eye maple and rosewood and has an overhead hatch giving plenty of natural light to the room. The cabin has a double bed, writing desk, five drawers, hanging wardrobe, en-suite bathroom with vanity basin set into a marble top, toilet and shower.

GUEST STATEROOMS Portside cabin (B) is in sycamore and poplar, has a double bed, five drawers, hanging wardrobe, en-suite bathroom with vanity basin set into a marble top, toilet and shower. Starboard cabin (C) is in sycamore and Norwegian silver birch, has a double bed, five drawers, hanging wardrobe, en- suite bathroom with vanity basin set into a marble top, toilet and shower.
